1st gen SBC, 383, performer RPM air gap manifold, trick flow heads, demon carb.
my brothers camaro is almost ready to roll, seems the stupid basic stuff can stump us sometimes, and I don't remember how I did it years ago. should the PCV hose connect to the air cleaner base, or the manifold port? I would guess both serve the same purpose, pulling pressure out of the valvetrain, but is one better than the other? I would rather use the air cleaner, 'cause we'll use the carb port for the brake booster, and I'd rather not 'T' it. AND, do you prefer to run a breather in the other valve cover hole, or is just a cap ok?
thanks guys!

The valve needs to go to full-time vacuum at the carb base or manifold. You'll need to supply fresh air from somewhere. That can come from a breather, breather cap, or inside the air cleaner. That last actually works very well because breathers tend to fog a little oil when conditions are right. If it backs up into the air cleaner it gets pulled through and burned rather than getting oil on your underhood bits.
