Am I the only one that perfers car activities (cruising, racing, car shows, etc) in the fall rather than the summer? For some reason, I'd much rather be crusing around in a hoodie and jeans in 60 - 65 degree weather, than sweating bullets in 90 degree weather in the summer (I know the car likes the cooler weather, too). What about you guys? What are your favorite seasons to cruise? Do you enjoy the heat or would you rather cruise / race in cooler weather.

Mine would be (in order)

Summer (night time)
Fall
Spring
Summer (day time)
Winter

Discuss.

Frankly, I would rather sweat than shiver anyday! On the other hand, my wife has multiple sclerosis, and heat can cause any M.S. related problems she has to temporarily worsen, so fall stuff definitely helps with that.

November at Buttonwillow is much more pleasant than July.

My perfect day starts out at 55 degrees in the AM and reaches around 70 for a high clam winds and sunny. I love fall! Trees changing color crops getting harvested and deer hunting. Its also the time of year I have some time to play.

I went deer hunting once... tagged the deer, but it got away. The Thunderbird didn't fair to well either.

I think you're supposed to shoot it, before you tag it :poke: ! And a T-bird doesn't qualify as a bullet.

I think the fall is nicer to cruise in.

Actually, the damned deer ran into the side of my car. Stupid deer!

I really enjoy cruising in the fall; the changing leaves and cooler temps make it much more enjoyable. The only downside (?) is the loss of traction on cold roads with cold tires. Once the tires are warm though, no worries. :)

That reminds me, are we gonna do another LI/NY/NJ meet this year?

A few of us from the board here met up last year on the northeastern end of Long Island, and did some banzai-style driving on deserted roads. Plenty of twists/turns, and great scenery too! Plus the cars were awesome; two 4th gen Camaro SSs, Mike (MrAngry)'s PT '68 Charger, a wicked big-block '69 Camaro, and me with the Monte. I'd love to do that again!

I've been thinking about it, we really should try to do a repeat in early November. Those roads were soo much fun. I'll post a thread in the next week or so and see what interest is like.

We have a fall color cruise here in Wisconsin the first week end of October every year it is a blast. They leave about 10:00 AM and do about 70-90 miles then end up some place for lunch and of course the mandtory BS session . They had about 150 car/trucks from what I heard this year. I will try to remember to post a heads up next year so some of you can come to it if interested.
BTW could have went deer hunting this morning but to much work to get done. Deer are thick around here we had to put a fence around our garden and fruit trees to keep the deer from destroying them. I will be hunting at some point this week end.

I prefer any weather that allows me to cruise. Winters are to long in the upper midwest.
