many street rods early on used jag rear ends.
do they perform well?

I am not sure but I think they were good back in the day,but not as good as a late model irs or 4 link.

My understanding is that it is comparable to the rear out of a C4. I believe the weak spot is that the halfshats are also a control arm in both designs, so If you have one break, you essentially lost the upper control arm too. Unfortunately since that most likely wil happen while the vehicle is moving, that would make it difficult to control the car.

fitted 1 in a street rod they weight a ton , hub carriers are a weak point for cracking at the lower bearings , thats a deff look for quite common.
