Well, I scrapped snow off my windshield this morning, drove through a snow squall on the way to work and am sitting here looking out the window at another snow squall making things look dark and dismal... I am NOT ready for this ****... This is reportedly the earliest we have had actual snow, on the ground in, since last year... Of which we are a day earlier...

And I was bitching about a little rain.:pat:
Please keep that stuff up your way, we don't have time for that here right now.

Damn... It was cold here this morning too. In the 50's and stuff. Supposed to be mid-70's this afternoon though. Sunny, too. Poor you guys. I love California weather.

Ahh Global Warming, lol.
I brought a jacket into S.F. last night but never put it on. It was too warm.

No snow, but we had some CRAZY rain last night. It was down-pouring for approximately 6 hours straight; some pretty bad flooding. My house is a corner house and on both streets adjacent to the property there was some pretty sever flooding. Had I been driving anything but the Tahoe, I would've been SOL; water was about 10-12" deep in some places. The craziest thing was it stopped raining and the flooding receeded in about thirty minutes.

It snowed a little here too last night. Was 25 degrees when I went to work at 6:30. First day I didn't wear shorts to work since last spring. Crap!!

Global Warming is a figment of some left wing tree huggers' alarmist imagination...
I wrote the initial post in this thread while I was sitting in Troy. After driving 60 miles north on I75, through two MORE squalls and backed up traffic with iced up wiper blades I am now sitting in my office upstairs looking at the snow on the ground... and thinking about the work I'll get done this winter.:bananna2:

We had snow squalls all day long and the drive home from Troy was interesting. This is the earliest recorded snowfall in Genesee County. FINALLY! The grass will stop growing.
I was out lighting the pilot on the shop furnace while this stuff was falling.

How'd you like to be at the Tigers v A's game tonight in Detriot.
Gametime will likely be around 40deg with snow/sleet/rain and 30kt winds.
Yikes!

Good thing I just moved to the Detroit area!
I haven't seen accumulated snow in 10 years (been in Phoenix, AZ most of my life). So far, Michigan 0, AZ/CA 72 and approaching the end zone again. This bites.

Sorry, but the infamous SNOWBOWL at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro Mass has to take the cake for all of the outrageous game conditions. A virtual Nor easter with several inches of snow?? Man talk about being able to play ball like a little kid!!!

Yeah, but that is football. A sport meant to be played in any weather in a mire of mud, blood and beer.
Baseball in the snow just seems wrong. Kinda like hockey in florida.

Well it does have its advantages. Sliding into home from Second base, and diving 30 yard catches makes for great highlight film material!!:naughty:

That was a great game!!! I had an opportunity to get tix and couldn't go. Had to watch it at a wedding reception.:pat:
I used to love our hs and college games in the snow. You'd hit someone and they'd slide for 10 yards!
Other than that, SNOW SUCKS!!!!

I was watching the A's and Tigers with their cool ear muffs. No thanks. Snow is great when you fly in, ski all day, and fly out. I'll leave the "livin there" to you guys that can take it:hail:! I'm a wus.
Me...I'm leaving at 5:30 tomorrow morning for 5 days of golf in Golf Heaven (Myrtle Beach). sorry.

I live SE of Buffalo, luckily we were on the edge of the snow band and only got 8" Thurs night. 90% of it melted by day's end though and got another coupla inches this morning that's also moslty melted.
We also got off easy with no power for 20 hrs, hard hit areas may not get back on line til next weekend...yikes!
