Can you bolt first gen camaro seat tracks to the 4th gen seats? Any info would be appreciated.

Im sure with a little fabrication it would be easily possible. Pretty much anything can be done with a car especially on this site.

If you're taller than 5'10 you may consider keeping the 4th gen seat tracks. They add about 3-4 inches of leg room over the original seat tracks.

Thats a very good point to consider. I am 5'10 and I was not ever comfortable with the original seats in any way at all. I forgot about the extra leg room with the new 4th gen seats.

somewhere I saw a article or or post concerning this and ther were minor mods to rear mounts to install these seats in 1st gen cars. Anyone remember this or where its at?

This is an easy mod to do with or without a welder. I have done it both ways. With a welder, after the rear seat brackets are cut off and repositioned properly for the car, weld on the brackets. DONE. Adjustment of seat angle can be done with washers. Without a welder cut off same brackets by drilling out rivets that hold the track together, bend a bracket from flat stock, mark and drill holes then bolt together. The only issues that I have encountered are with seat height, (somewhat high) and when sliding rearward contacting wire cover just inside the jamb. Trimming the seat's plastic recline mechanism cover and flattenig the wire cover fix that.
