I'm itchin' to put a phat stereo in my 67. I need some pics of custom installed stereos, upholstered trunks, etc to give me a better idea. I imagine i'll spend somewhere around $3k for a bad ass set up. Any reccomendations on speakers & amps would be cool too. Thanks!!!

Oh, that's not exactly around the corner. But thanks for the offer again. Since you've done this before, how much would a shop charge for a relatively basic trunk job? Carpet, vinyl, nothing too fancy.

i would charge anywhere from $700.00 to $1200.00
it would be hard to say with out a game plan but thats aroundabout.

Also recommend JL Audio equipment. Never met anyone who turned their nose up at that brand. :twothumbs

Here's my 65 Olds... I wanted the dash to remain stock, so I have a wired remote flush mounted in my driver side sunvisor. Amps and subs are behind the panels. Pretty clean with the remote setup.

Realy guys there are quite a few better products out there than JL quite a few...... Morel, DSL, Mb quart, Treo enginerring, Fi audio, hmmm way more...... Go to www.ecoustics.com register there and ask about audio equipment..... JL is good for tha mainstream people but just like you guys have "underground" manufactures that you get stuff from there are other people to buy from.... I run a Treo TSX 15" sub with a Mq quart Raa-1000 amp i want to do my trunk too but.....moneys tight....
