Built this air pan to seal off my carb to the cowl hood. Only bought the foam from Summit. It was to short so I couldnt make nice corners with it but it seals nice. https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif

Yes that is a 1/2" bolt that i cut the head off anf tapped as a air filter wing nut. Ive fooled people by telling them the stock threads in the carb stripped out and that was the only tap I had...
