Man I'm freaking out!:bananna2:

I took it apart six years ago to "freshen it up".... and it turned into quite the project! I can't even describe how excited I am right now!

Taking that first drive down the street out of the cul-de-sac brought my right back to high school. The view over the hood, the smell, the way the car felt. Man I missed that more than I even knew. All the great memories came rushing back in the first few seconds on the asphalt.

The drive went pretty damn good. I put about 20mi on it, and made a few stops without a problem. No weird smells, no noises, no spontanious combustion. The headlights need some tweaking, I need to tune the carb and check timing, and the tranny is slipping in second... but thats a pretty short list considering what this car has been through. Temp was solid, and good oil PSI. All the electrical is in order... just awesome.

I have so much to say, but I'll ramble forever if I don't cut it short. This day has been a long time coming!

Check out my video and Chevelle page for more about it

Glad to hear it. It's funny how "good" it feels to just get it outta the garage & around the block.

Congratulations! It looks awesome. I can only imagine what that must feel like. I'm quite envious, I've been working on my camaro for 7 years and have yet to drive it.

Man, that is FANTASTIC news!!

Taking that first drive down the street out of the cul-de-sac brought my right back to high school. The view over the hood, the smell, the way the car felt. Man I missed that more than I even knew. All the great memories came rushing back in the first few seconds on the asphalt.

That's a feeling that I can only imagine right now, but, DAMN I have been thinking about that for my own car for months now. Mine's been out of commision for about 15 years now.

I'm jealous! Congrats man!

Just went through what you did earlier this year, what a great feeling it is. Mine took 7 years so I know the pain. Great job, and lets see some more pics of that beast!

thanks guys! :D

I'm going to clean it up this weekend and get the 17s back on it. I'll definately snap some pictures. Its kind of dirty from sitting in my garage for the last few months during re-assembly. Its still missing a few peices outside, but I'm waiting on some parts to finish it.

Cant wait to get home tonight! :3gears:

I took some updated pics. It was starting to rain, so I just stopped in a parking lot and snapped a couple. I put about 75mi on it since thursday!
