A while back I saw a mag write up on some billet hose clamps
that tighten up on the hose like a compression fitting. They
were called Python clamps I think, and you used 2 wrenches
on them. I have google searched them and can't find them.
Maybe their out of business- anyone have them or know
where to find them?

I think they went under. I wanted to use them on my car as well and was having trouble locating them.

Your spelling is wrong, here is a link...

Let me know what you find out PLEASE!

I bought a bunch of pi-thon clamps a while back for my Z28 heater/cooling system from Summit Racing. Seems to be nice stuff, was even thinking of using their clamps for the exhaust system.

I had e-mailed pi-thon about a month ago, and did get a reply, but I notice that Summit no longer carries them, as well as a few other authorized distributors.

Hmm... maybe they have gone under....

My experience: look cool, but hard to get a good seal. A couple friends have them and are always chasing little leaks...

Thanks for the info. After talking with their so called customer service and also after reading the posts. I have decided to go a different route.
I personally don't like chrome and colored fittings and want something
a little nicer than a worm clamp.

I think these are what you want if you dont want bling or worm clamps. I havent used them, but will be soon. https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22861&highlight=clamps

I used the clamps that Rubes recommends after looking at the Pi-Thons and deciding against them. I'm happy with the way they look: http://www.my67.net/john/engine3.htm

Have used the Gates heat shrink fittings since DSE showed them to me, haven't had a sindle issue and now wouldn't use anything else. Carry some spare worm clamps in case you need to pull loose or repair a hose and you're good to go.

If you're going to buy a whole set with spares, McMaster Carr is the best deal going on the Gates clamps.

Just got all my clamps in from McMaster. Can't wait to get them on.
