here are a couple of recent pictures. I ve been working on this car for appx 5 yrs. For the last 4 years it has been a basic restoration. The car was running and drivin for the last couple of years. Now I ve chosen a new path and am building a pro touring car. I hope to make it as much go as show. I want the car to work. Long term plans are to build towards a silver state classic car. Probably touring class with the 110mph target in mind. Recently engine, trans and everything else have been striped. Rebuilding the engine. Scat superlight weight crank, q light Scat rods, Srp pistons. I scored a set of the new design afr 195 heads. 510/520 cam etc etc. Just bought a new kto 600 from Dark Horse Performance in Renton WA. Just got the car back from rollbar, integral subframe conectors and rear shock relocate at Ron Piercy Fabrication in Fife, Wa. So im on my way. Car Has hotchkis front and rear springs, DSE solid frame bushings. Global West Cross Shafts. ETC, ETC, ETC13005

Wow...that shock looks like it's mounted pretty low. Or is it the angle the picture was taken at? Looks like a sweet project. Thanks for the pics.

The mount is pretty low. But not as low as botoom of wheel, so if I a tire goes flat Ill still be ok. I was trying to get as large a shock as possible, that way it carries more oil and less likely to fade, at least thats what I was thinking ? It has about 5 inches of bump travel and about 4 inches of rebound. These are the qa1 double clickers. the upper mount was also relocated up about 3 additional inches into the trunk area.
