tried to sell the truck to get another MAch1 but no luck so Im just going to build this instead.

Im building a pro-touring truck. It is starting as a crew cab dually, and will be a short bed 1/2 ton when Im done that the Whole family can ride in. Ive already built a custom two link for the rear, and am going to pitch the airide bags to go with a coilover set-up. Should turn out like a crew cab, Gen 1 Lightning, That can tow my car to the track.

This is the start of the stock floor body drop. Worked all day and just about ready to start welding it back together. Then I can do the front RAD support, and then start the Billet Phantom grille.

The last three are the before pics.

I had a project like yours at one time. I had to many projects, so I raised back up and sold it. Still have the drop kit. I would like to see it when you finish the body drop. You will keep the guys that glue the little reflector's on the road busy!!

I am lovin this project!!! Talk about unique! I actually like the black primer with aged door graphic...very retro ("rat") rod! You need some big inch red multispoke wheels and you'll be good to go.

keep it 1 ton dually that would be even crazier to see

I used to have a Gen 1 Lightning, that was stolen! Slammed, built 408, the truck was badass. I loved that thing. Well knoe I have a family, and my kids are into custom cars and truck, so What better way to keep them involved, but to build a four door Lightning that I can run somthing like the Silver state(That will never happen) and bring the whole family!!

Im off all day on Friday, so I should have most of the cab floor done. Then I can start on the radiator support. I need to drop it 41/2 in, then I can see what the front fenders will look like over the tires. Will post pics as soon as pos.

Look like a cool project. One thing- how is that a stock floor body drop if you cut out the floor and raised it?
