My buddy had himself talked into using additives untill he read this:

Is it wise to get it out of his Corvette or leave it like it is?

Hmm,i've read the story several times and wondered why he didn't used the blend on the left side, besides the fact that scheaffer oil did it's work.
From what i know,an additive never added anything to an engine.
i would change the oil and get rid of the stuff..

I used to be a sell royal purple 10 years ago when only industial people used it, I have seen all the demos with every addittive the only thing they leave out is temp, its not how it climbs up the gear that counts its the protection it leaves on the metal for dry start up that count and how much pressure it can take before it breaks down. You can use any good Synthiec oil to get good protection, i use royal purple because it does not mix with water and does not use heavy additive that after a while turn corrosive. I pay for the extra protection because they put the money in the product not advertising.
