Those trucks look REALLY good Carter! You are very talented when it comes to that kind of work! Your parents should be proud! :worship: (Was I laying it on too thick?)
Can you do Astro's?....

Did you look at the house of colors web site? They sell software that allows you to paint your car. That's if your car is one of the 180+ cars that is part of the software. Nice tool, Carter gave the link! Have a look. Thanks Carter I ordered a copy for myself.

Sick man. What wheels are you using? Chop it to man.

Looks like someone's going nucking futz with the bezier pen tool in photoshop! Slick work, you have an excellent eye for graphics. Bump up the res a little, the images look a little grainy.

What do you use for measurements to create the database?

I gotta start building cars in 3D, that looks like fun. I'm sick of doing hand held electronics and office equipment in Alias.

wow, that looks cool! How do you do it (simple question, right?)

Anyone want a go at a '66 Nova Wagon, PT style?

Thanks guys, I have always wanted to do this stuff and seeing Kris Horton's stuff has inspired me. Ben, these were rendered in FPRIME in about 15 minutes, there was only 40 passes on the render, that is why it still has some grain to it. When I render overnight they are pretty clean. I rendered a solid red truck and then built the graphics in photoshop. Ben, I would love to hook up at SEMA and talk shop. If you get by the House of Kolor booth I would love to show you the Digital Paint Booth software.

Very nice work Carter. How much time do you have in on that model so far? I see it still needs door lines, but it's looking awesome.

Yeah, I sat in a couple demos for that app. We use alias because of it's smooth interface with ProE and ability to go right to tooling from there. I figured that's what the grain was after I posted. Alias renders usually have to go all night too.

I've got HOK on my list, I'll see you there.

Kris, this is just a test of my limited skills. Yeah it still needs lots of work. I am trying something out here on my end that will hopefully cut down on model time and add detail? Ben, I also have alias as well as Rhino but both are on my PC and I use a MAC at work and at home. I actually used to have a small cnc that I would generate toolpaths for and run small(really small) stuff. But I realized that I cannot be a designer and machinist and a software coder and a marketer and a father and husband. So I sold of that stuff and just outsource now. I have never used ProE or any other SolidModeler? Looking forward to meeting you at Vegas. Kris are you going to be at the JADA booth. I came by last year and missed you.

Carter,

Jada doesn't have a booth at SEMA this year. Personally I think it's a bad move on our part, but the folks upstairs make that call. I'll be at SEMA though, showing my redone '05 Mustang GT.
