View Full Version : LSX in a G-Body - Accessory Mounting?

I am considering replacing the 454 in my '84 Monte with a carbureted LSX engine.
The car currently has a March serpentine conversion kit for the water pump, power steering pump, and the alternator. What are the simplest options for mounting the accessories on the LSX engine?
I may reinstate factory-style A/C at some point in the future, but for now I need a clean and simple way to mount my existing accessories.

You will probably have some of the same issues as an A-body. If you use the factory F-body brackets you could have clearance issues with the alternator and steering gear. Getting a Y-body set of brackets would cure that but you still may have some clearance issues with the a/c compressor and crossmember. If you want something fancy without clearance issues there is March and Street and Performance. Both avail in polished but a little more pricey. Then you can get into a Billet Specialties or Synister products set up and you are talking $2400. Depends on what you want to spend. Here is some links for ya:
