This is how I have done it on my first gen. It should work the same on your 2nd gen, someone correct me if I lead him in the wrong direction. I drop a point to the ground with a plumb bob from the centerline of the foward part of the forward most bolt of the LCA on both sides. I then drop a point from the factory index hole by the shackle on the back of the leaf on both sides. I then use those four points to check square.

Search over at NastyZ28.com (http://www.nastyz28.com/forum/search.php?searchid=189351) It has been discussed. There are alignment holes on the front body (middle) monts. On my 77, the LF is a round hole in the frame mount & the body, and the RH frame is a round hole & the body is an oval.

Here is the diagram for a '69 - at least it gives you some idea where things are referenced. You should be able to find something similar for a second gen (for firsts these are printed in the fisher body manuals). Good luck.

I also dont know about a 2nd gen but I did some reading on my 1st gen and used the factory allignment holes to get it in the ball park then I took measurements from everyplace i could just to make sure it was right :)
