I saw this car at the Downers Grove cruise night a while back.
Words and pics can't discribe how nice it is. By far the nicest and
coolest car I ve seen all summer.

I've seen that car in person. Absolutely amazing the amount of fabrication and effort that went into it. You buy that car and you are truly the owner of something unique that will most likely never be duplicated.

I'm kind of suprised that the car is up for sale so soon.
I hope it's not being sold out of necessity.

In another thread (https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22868)
they state that they are going to use the money to build 2 new projects.
They promise to raise the bar even higher.
3,700 hours of labor in SN65!
Should be fun to watch.

Over $100k with a day left. That's a chunk of change for a damn fine ride.

Didn't they just turn down an offer for 175K a few weeks ago for it, saying they wouldn't take anything under 200K? I remember seeing it in one of the forums here. I don't think they are going to make 200K in the next 5 hrs of bidding...
Good luck with an offer at sema.
Hi Ryan,
Yep, we won't take less than 200K for the car. To me, the joy of driving it is worth that much alone.
If we get an offer over 200K, great, if not I am perfectly happy driving it every opportunity I get.
Waayne just came back from the "route 66" show. They picked Wayne to be one of the Judges (one of the other Judges was Chuck Hansen, the "chevy" guy from HPTV). When the awardes were handed out, we won the "Wally Troy" award for best custom car at the show (Wayne was totally surprised. No one even mentioned the award to him and, as I said, he was one of the judges).
He had a great time at the show. Just one more reason to keep the car. :-)

Bob, it is an awesome car and I got to see it parked right next to my C6 at Road Atlanta. I'm thinking you might be stuck with it for a while for $200K though, that is a lot of bread for a Mustang. Most 1st gen Mustang guys are used to finding rust-free drivable cars for less than $10K, so it might be hard for them to justify another $190K to get it where yours is.
Anyways, good luck on the sale. Ebay is usually a good indicator for modified car market values.

I have said it many times. E bay is the world's appraisel service. Then of coarse there is Barrett Jackson if you have big balls. What it does ay either of these venues is what it is worth. Only other big money chance is SEMA if the car is fresh and not over shown (your out Bob, LOL), it will bring some unsolicited offers. Buyers at SEMA seem to want a car that is fresh, no one has seen, that they can show as there own.

I have seen the car in person. I'm sure it took a lot of money to build, but that is too much money if you ask me. It blends in with the crowd too much. Apparently it does something for someone.

No disagreement here, just more observation. Obviously if a guy wants a yellow Mustang there are more affordable choices. If, however, they want something completely unique that is road and track proven AND has some notoriety, without being worn out...the choices narrow considerably. As difficult as it may be to accept, 200k these days will get you 2000-3000 hours of labor [no parts included]. That is one guy, full time, for 12-18 months. Or 2 guys for 6-9 months. Or just you part time in your garage 3 hours a night, 4 nights a week for up to 5 years, You guys with the over-the-top magazine cars...you KNOW what I am talking about.
Unfortunately you are likely correct about the fact that the market may not support a 200k selling price. Hope you [and I] are wrong...it would be an inspiration to those who have invested the time required to create working art.
BTW...Can I sign up for some of those rust free Mustangs for under 10K? :) Any color is fine...no engine or trans needed.

I think $200,000.00 for that car is probably a deal. Where do I send the check... Oh wait, I don't have $200K... Hmm... Maybe I could sell my house, my car, the cat, the wife... Nah, I'd mess the interior up by sleeping in it.
Great car, well worth the asking price!

Value is all a mater of perception.
As far as, will someone spend 200K for a Mustang like this? I have already answered that question, after all, if I were not willing, the car would have never been built in the first place. :-)
Will some one else cough up the cash? That is yet to be answered.
I think it is all in the marketing. All I did was list it on E-Bay without any other effort what-so-ever. I was interested to see just how high it would go without any promotional effort. The answer is 100K.
This leads me to believe that just listing a car (regardless of what it is)without raising some market awarness will not get the job done.
Just like listing a car with BJ. If you don't do your homework and get the right people in the crowd, you are probably in for a bit of a surprise. I am sure that when Bob lists the G-Force Cuda with BJ this January, that he will have done his homework. He will make sure that there are a number of serious buyers at the auction.
I am going to make another run at E-Bay. I am going to alter my ad a bit and also create more of a buzz this time. Maybe I will have to run the car without a reserve. Who knows, but next time I will actually put a bit of effort into it before hand.
I think it is possible. I just have to find the right approach.

You are completely right Bob, concerning the marketing aspect! I can't say that $200k is to much or to little, but someone more than likely will pay that much for this car, however, you just need to use some creative marketing. You and your brother were very creative in building the car, if you are serious about selling it, be creative in marketing it, we all see marketing at its best on the television and in magazines everyday. Anyway, good luck with the sale, by the way, I don't believe there are many colors at there that can grab a persons attention better than yellow!

A car like yours Bob would do well at BJ's. A Saturday afternoon spot, and parking in the big "tent" all week would give you plenty of time to market it. Lot's of buyers at BJ's you just have to find 2 that really want it.

Barrett Jackson all over it.... for what some crap on there brings, 200k should be easy...

But, there's 1200 spots and 5000 cars applied to be in the auction. Not everyone can sell their car there.
