hey guys, I need to replace the AC vents in my 72 camaro, but I don't know where i can order them from. I have checked Classic Industries website, the only one shown was the dual vents that come in the middle of the dash board. I need to get the passenger and the driver sides vents as well.

any idea guys, appreciate it

Not sure if you are willing to do custom vents or not. That is probably your only option other than using the originals or getting lucky and finding some that are good. I havent seen many cars that didnt have bad side vents. Here is what I did...

Im sure there are better ways though and your imagination is the limit! Well, maybe your budget, but you know what I mean!

Try the swap meet area.

hey 73z-6speed, your interior looks awesome man. Regarding the vents, I do have the factory ones right now because my 72 camaro is originally an AC car, and the AC is working.

I just wanted to purchase new vents because the passenger and the driver sides are broken..

I wonder if have more pics of your car, engine bay and stuff. I am considering doing the LS1 swap someday as well.

Thanks for the compliments. I miss my 73! I think I like it better than my 68 even though my 68 is a nicer car. You can see some pics at my website. If it will work. Im having a heck of a time getting it loaded properly. Not sure if it is my computer or the server.

72Z/28,

I just received my new CI catalog last week, they do show the outer dash vent assembly on p.151, top middle, $74.95 ea.. I'm pretty sure those are the ones you need, could always give them a call to verify.

Thanks John, actually I found the side vents at www.oldmusclecars.com (http://www.oldmusclecars.com) because CI don't carry the passenger and the drive sides vents. I found them with the help of Classic Industries customer service representative, that was nice of him. He gave me the parts numbers and referred to www.partsvoice.com (http://www.partsvoice.com). You just put the part numbers and the zip code, then it will search for you the closest store that has the parts in stock.

they are expensive too, $68 a piece. I had to order them anyways.

72Z/28,

Never thought to check Partsvoice.com. I've used that site for a few years to look up NOS parts for my 79 Z28. As you mentioned, you need the GM part number to do a search, that's why I have the GM parts manual.

Glad you were able to find what you needed!
