Hey guys - Just wanted to share with everyone some updated pics of the '58 Impala I have been putting together. These were shot just before loading it on the trailer to go to the interior shop. There is not much left to do once I get it back. If everything goes right, I will have it ready to go to Goodguys in Charlotte next month.

So nice! I love those W-motors! I had a 409 bored .060 with a 454 crank in it, something like a 482 if I remember correctly. Anyway, had a roller cam, torque out the wazoo. Jerked second gear and pulled the right lower control arm right off the frame. Yikes! Somehow I got the thing stopped without wrecking it. I think the guy in the Cougar I was, ahem, eh, :ssst: 'driving next to' just about peed his pants! Sweet engine though, had it in a '61 Impala 2dht.
Lookin' Good!
Shiny Side Up!

Tim - Thanks!! Good assumption. Running ART hard parts like Shockwaves and control arms along with Accuair for the controller and supply end. When we ordered everything, ART did not have there level system out yet and we really wanted that capability. I will be keeping up with your '62 project as I have a '62 wagon also that I will be starting on in the future.
Bill - Anxious to get it out and ride. Everyone tells me these engines have a ton of torque and I am ready to find out.

That is sweet I really like the basic black without the loud graphics. Just let the chrome set it off.:hail:

Hi,
What are the sizes of the tires on your Impala? I am looking into putting larger one on my 58' Bel Air Hardtop. Also what other suspension mod.s did you do?
Thanks,
Chris

I gotta agree WOW, that is a great looking car Mark! I can't wait to see what you do with the interior. That is a perfect wheel choice for that car, great job, better build a trophy case.
