Ran across this the other day. John Cunningham's updated Chevy II Wagon. Go here for more pics and another rendering (be sure to read the Hot Rod rant too!) http://www.wagonshaul.com/

Kris continues to amaze me...

I know This Kris guy has been taking some heat for being way backed up, but I guess I can see why, that is a very realistic rendering, pretty awesome!

I wonder how long it took him to do this wagon? it is cool!

Thanks guys, glad you dig it. I have been trying to reach John for about 2 months now with no luck. I'm glad to see he got the car painted and that it looks so close to the rendering. Very cool!

Indeed. WTF? What'd he do to deserve that?

Kevin, I made some room in my PM box. Not in a talking mood, just had 6 wisdom teeth pulled this week...go ahead and PM me though and I'll get back to you.

As for the Hot Rod thing, I can't tell you the full story, but I remember he brought up the fact that there was some bad blood and even jealousy in regards to his car. I believe the wagon has a 1400+ hp TT 6-cylinder powerplant. Pretty amazing ride.

Killer renderings once again Kris. You da man.

As for the Hot Rod scenario, I am sure there is more than meets the eye, but something is definately fishy....

A little digging found some reasons. Sounds like Hot Rod was just protecting itself.

From what?

That's what im still not sure about. If you google john cunningham and hot rod, you get the hot rod boards, and a little tiny tidbit about how there were threats of litigation or something. I could be wrong though.

It did have a single turbo straight 6 Trailblazer motor (that made an honest 1400hp), but now its got a twin turbo small block. Should be interesting to see what it runs!

Kris does some excellent work. I talked to him a few weeks back, nice guy but I can't afford his work. I would have to work 9 full days just to pay for his services.

It sucks being in college. So I will just have to use my imagination to pick what color, stance and wheels to put on my car.

not trying to hi-jack this thread. Your other option is to look at House of Kolors Digital Paint Booth - $60.00 for one car and you get to play all day with colors, graphics and tow tones. Well worth the money.

Plus the designer and creator is a board memeber.

I can't get on his site for some reason. BUt if it is the car that I am thinking about (the turbo'd Nova wagon that was in drag week last year). I think that the reason that Hot Rod did not INVITE him to come back to drag week this year is because he threw a tantrum about some things last year and was an a$$ to everyoone involved there. If I remember right, he got cought trailering his car somewhere or something like that.
But like I said, that is what I HEARD and cannot verify myself because I was not there! :squint:
