This is not a pro touring car, but a dailey driver & I am about to drive 30 miles to go work on it in my work parking lot. Yesterday it died on me driving down the road. The Ald gauge has been bouncing from14 to about 8 volts for a few weeks. I took the alt off & had it checked, they said it was fine. Well yesterday driving back from lunch, it went to zero & the car had no getup & go whatsoever. Then it just died on me & wouldn't start again. Starter would only click, click, click. But the cooling fans ran & the windows went up & down just fine. Not like they would if the battery was dead. Any thoughts what might be wrong? The car has 2 heavy positive battery cables, one that goes to a fuse panel under the windshield in the engine bay, & the other I figure goes directly to the starter. My guess is maybe that cable is bad...? Any other thoughts?

Thanks,
Scot

I had the same problem with mine. But a bad intake caused it,.
