One of those thoughts I have as I wake up in the morning. A 408ci LS1 , good heads and supporting mods in the longblock. Edelbrock Victor manifold, Holley carb, Procharger D1 or F1 Supercharger.

Its a neat looking set-up, it uses the LS1, and its blown which is always good. I'm itching to do this set-up for somebody.

I'm with you on this. But.....I saw this engine at the Lake Ozarks Shootout and this is something that needs to make itself into a car. Totally trick set-up!

Twin superchargers to a plenum that then goes up to the carb through a customer bonnet. Pretty crafty.

I was thinking an 850 on an LS1 with an D1 could make silly power.

Naah, that was twins that just plumbed to a pressurized box. The darn thing had fuel injection.

I know I see it was EFI I was sayingit could be done with a custom bonnet to stay carb'd.

I'm with you now. The marine guys are using a 6 or 8 inch intercooler on top of the intake which adds alot to the height. Cost - I never asked!

I learned quickly that the powerboat guys are playing on a completely different cash level than the car guys. Man it's expensive. Top speed was 208 MPH by a 51 foot turbine.

You see this too much, people don't realize if you loose that one, you loose them both with that set up! I just saw a very nice T-Bird with the same stock setup, supercharged 4.6 liter, single cylinder master cylinder. The easiest and cheapest upgrade when safety is a consideration. Hey, how about we bring back the huge supercharger sticking through the hood and a set of 255/60/15 on the back!!!!!
