View Full Version : To Gap or not to Gap?

I have asked this in the past and only got two replies that werent too sure of the answer so i will try again. I am running Autolite racing plugs. PN AR3933, they have a cut back electrode. i have heard that these dont need to be gapped. is this true? thanks for the help.

Having worked with Autolite on some machinery, I gap mine if that says anything! -Dan

no gapping needed on cut back electrodes in any sittuation ive ever seen. what do you have for an ignition setup? cut back electrodes have a diferent spark charactoristic that isnt gap sensative

Im running all MSD, 6al box, billet dist and coil. i talked to the guy at the dyno shop and he said to just throw them in. im going to try it and its going in for a dyno tune this saterday.

should run well with that much spark
