rear question

i found a good deal on a set of 3.42 gears and also a posi unit. i just want to make sure that it will all work fine. i just have to ask for 8.5 ten bolt parts am i correct?
or does it take more than that, also would you guys suggest i freshen the rear end with new seals and other rear parts?'

Always a good idea to freshen things up if you are into it anyway. I am not really understanding your initial question.
