Raided the scrap pile At work and fabbed up this chin spoiler. I will be adding Heims to the front for strut/supports and at $3 each it wont be a bank buster..

Looks good.. I wonder how it would look wider though. Still, as for function that's as wide as it needs to be.
How much $$ do you have in your Nova?

Personally I think it might look better wider.

You really cant see it from the side. I made skirts for the sides that would make it look thicker but wedged. I wanted to see if the flat would look good.

After seeing it on the ground I like it like that. Isnt that how older stockcars front spoilers used to look.

Man that Nova is SAAAAAAWEET!!! I think the spoiler would look better a little wider as well. Body color would also be a good option.
Where in OH are you located?

Great looking Nova! I think the spoiler looks good, but have to agree that wider would look better. Same color as the body.

LowBuck, paint it black. It looks too expensive natural. :)

I like your Nova and the chin spoiler too. I am wanting to put one on my 72 Nova soon. But I need some help. Does the chin spoiler help the car become more aerodynamic? Or does it deflect the wind up into the radiator? Also, I was thinking of making one that followed the contours of the bumper. Would this be less effective than the chin spoiler?

That would be an Air Dam .. very effective. I also had this Idea but no means to get it done.

I dig it! Like Steve, I think it would look better a bit wider though. But if you dig it and it works it's perfect.

My vote is for wider and black as well... out to the edges of the front bumper but follow the angle down from the sides (front view).
JMHO
Looks great though!!!!
