I'm trying to find a pulley smaller than 3.40 8 rib for my carbed sbc procharger. Procharger says that is the smallest pulley they make for 8 rib. Anybody know where I can get a smaller one? Looking for a 3.25 or a 3.00.

Problem with a smaller pulley is it will slip, so you will make less boost. I can get you a bigger crank pulley made.

Hey Frank, I bought the procharger from you about a year ago. I'm only making 4.5-5 of boost with this pulley with no belt slipping. Is the crank pulley going to be the only way? Procharger said I can jump to a 12 rib to get a smaller pulley but dont want to do this if I don't have to.

Curt,

Check with ASP at:

http://www.aspracing.com/frame.htm

They make pullies for a lot of companies and people - I had them make a custom 7", 8-rib for mine and it came out sweet.

Might be a wait, though.

How do you know it is not sliping the belt? That is a common problem with small pulleys. We are working on a LS1 right now that did not show any signs of sliping the belt, meaning no wear signs, no rubber boogers or dust, but it was.

Refresh me as I sell a bunch of these.

It is a 3.4 pulley on a.....

How many cubes?

How many RPMs?

Has it always made 5LBS?

Was the boost more when it was brand new?

What was our original HP goal?

Is this the engine we built it for?

355 sbc 9to1 comp. bowtie heads ported, big roller cam .575lift 255 262 duration @.050 114 lobe separation. I'm thinking with the heads cam and 3" exhaust this is all the boost I'm going to see. No signs of the belt slipping this it the first time I have ever did wot runs so have nothing to compare it to. I built the motor not you guys just bought the procharger from you. My goal was 8-10psi boost 500hp.
