The Camaro we are working on does. Nice kit. Did you have a specific question?

haha you must not have pulled the pump yet and seen what i had to do to get that ******* to work.

Heres the problems with it:
1. The packaging sucks, it was ripped apart and a few bolts were missing. The dealer i got it through said it had been a problem for lots of people.

2. Its designed for mounting in gas tanks with flat bottoms, so the tray has to be angled

3. The tanks on a first gen is way too short for it, i had to cut it waaaaaay down.

4. the only suitable place to mount it is just aft of the sender (only flat spot on the tank) and because of the angle you loose the use of a bit of your gas tank, so a bunch of dead weight always in your car.

5. The stock tank sits extremely close to the floor of the car, so either you have to space the tank down, or cut the hell out of your floor.

Im sure i could think of another dozen or so problems with this but its late. I would highly suggest NOT getting it and spend your money more wisely on a ricks tank and be done with it.

Brian thanks for the heads up, just trying to determine a cheaper way to run the fuel tank set up, but all roads seem to point either to Rick's, or sumping a Original and running and external pump.

i used this set up. althought not perfect, i didn't have as many problems as ilovefirstgens. the packaging wasn't well sealed, but i had no missing parts. i mounted the tray in mine sideways per the instructions & placed it in the flat portion of the tank. the instructions also say to place the tray in the left or right side, not the middle. i placed mine in the front right corner of the tank. i cut the height to fit. there is an issue with the 1st gen tank being so tight up against the trunk pan & needing a 1" clearance for the fuel fittings. to resolve this, i plan to use some dense foam cut in to a wedge shapes which will angle the front of the tank down a bit.

i took pictures of the install & will try to get them posted here soon.

I have one in my setup and I did it the "hard" way.

I got a new reprotank and cut out a part at the top to mount the pumpunit and to get clearance to the trunkfloor.

Then I cut out a part in the bottom so that the Tank inc. unit would have room to fit.

See pictures:

Compared to cost of the parts and the hours I spent on this, Like 5 hours with pressure air and soapwater fixing all leaks in the welds and then cleaning out the tank, I would go for a bought tank.

Ok Ricks Tank $1198 delivered is it worth it?If you can afford it, I'd say yes... me on the other hand... I'd still be without a running car because it would have taken me the last 6 months to come up with $1200 to drop all at once. :hand:

Better yet look around and you might find them for about $450 less than that.... Maybe through some store which is super and does group purchases.
