This weekend we went to a nearby town, where the best racetrack in Scandinavia lies. Open track event, that draws some serious crowd. Lot of jap and euro cars.

I got a price, 3rd best American Car. A buddy of mine with a 1934 Plymouth Hot Rod won 1st, a Ford SVT Lightning got 2nd.

The 'Cuda was not built just to shine. I had to hit the tracks, and drive hard!

This picture is the same event last year. Glad I did a resto.

Waiting to get on the track on pit road. People really liked the 'Cuda. I was the only american car out there except the SRT-10 and the Lightning. I think most people was surprised to see me out there, and to see how well it cornered.

It was getting a bit dark.

The V8 made a beautiful tune, and was a nice difference to the turbocharged 4 and 6es.

Saturday night we checked in to a camping and had a social gathering, eating and drinking a beer. Talking about the days event, and stories from the track. My buds 1974 Ford Capri 3.0 Turbo in front.

Around $1750. With boat, and it'll probably take two months! Amazing track, I have never driven other tracks, but people that have, say this one is in a league of it's own. It's 3,5 km long, highest klimb is 6,2%, highst fall is 8,6% and the difference in altitude is 32 meters!

Here is a video. Im driving. It was filmed with a digital photocamara, not a videocamera, so quality is not the best. And my brother have some problems holding the camera still.

Those are some of the best track day pics I have seen on this board yet! The backgrounds are amazing, reminds me of my home. Except the local tracks are out on the flats with views of the North American Continental Divide. Your car looks great, nice to see you put it to good use up there. How long is your track season? Lots of time during the winter to work on it I imagine. Post some more if you got 'em, I'm diggin' it.

Thanks, I wish I had more pics to share with you. But I didn't get that many. Our trackseason are from june to september I think, but its quite expencive, so we just go twice a year when this gathering is held. Then we spend the whole weekend on the track. And you're correct on the winter part. The rides get their overhaul to be ready for the next summer. Actually whe pulled the engine from my brothers stang last evening.

I do have a in-car video of a couple of laps. This is me driving my '69 Mustang, and jvike is doing the filming. Notice how the combo of an auto transmission and 2.79 rear axle ratio sucks when comming out of corners. Kickdown all day long. Also, my brakes was s**t.
