LS1+Unisteer rack+ATS mounts+Stainless works factory box headers. Will this combo work?

What oil pan is the best option? Modified f-car or truck?

It should work I'm running a Uni Steer and since it replaced the factory steering linkages I dont know why it shouldnt. Im getting ready to install a LS7 with the same setup. I dont see how it should affect it as the space is till about the same. Talk to Tyler at ATS he can steer you right.

i've got a unisteer & ls1 for my 1st gen, but don't have them installed yet. seems like i read someone having a issue w/ headers hitting steering & making a slight dimple to resolve the problem.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but does anyone know what kind of spline comes out of the unisteer rack? It isn't 3/4 DD or a round spline.

It does fit. I have the exact setup. I did use a 3 joint shaft and I would dimple the header. I did not and it rubs from time to time. I will email you some pictures.

About half way down you can see the oil pan before welding.

I have one and have experienced no rubbing at all with an LS6.

SW headers are just a little too close. I looked at my pictures. I must have deleted those. I know I had several to show SW.

what pan???

ive got a unisteer rack ats mounts and the ats pan, the oil line fittings on the pan and the power steering lines both try and occupy the same space, so its a royal pain getting things to work. I ended up having to get creative with a grinder and run one of the oil lines through the crossmember.

I used a stock F-body LS1 pan. I had the notch the front of the sump for the rack.
