315/35/17

Why are tire companys,cutting back on 315/35/17's.most only make them in drag radials or soft compound street tires.

i just recentlly got a set from sumitomo. they kinda suck...but they were cheap..like $110 for each. cant beat that deal!!

i agree, we had a set of sumitomo 315's on one of our cars for a little while and they were cost effective.. thats about all i can say for them.

Not much of an OEM application for that size anymore,but BFG,Goodyear,Dunlop,Yokohama,and Sumitomo all make that sizing.

yeah but they are all real soft compound tires I would like to have something that will last awhile.

i agree, we had a set of sumitomo 315's on one of our cars for a little while and they were cost effective.. thats about all i can say for them.

I just bought a pair...what's wrong with them? I havn't mounted them yet, but don't expect much either, for the price.

mine spin alot....not a lot of traction...and they seem to waer fast. but for 110 a pop....i cant complain

It all depends on what you consider acceptable mileage,Rock. My last set of Michelin Pilots had 20K miles of use when I sold the car and they still had lots of rubber left.
The Kumho V700's on my 69 have around 7K miles and I figure they will make it to 15K. Not too bad for competition rubber.

I would like to get about 20-30 thousand out of them,the pilot's wouldnt be bad,i don't like using "off name " tires.i have to check the pilots out.

we now have 335 pilots and they are MUCH better than the sumitomos!! but aren't as cost effective so... it's up to you.
