I went to the paint shop late yesterday to check out the Vette, and they were down to 1000-grit wet sanding on the main body with the dash already polished out! This morning they are hitting it with 1500 and will be polishing later today.

Tomorrow, I'm going to head down and start laying Dynomat while they finish up.

Monday we get the car back!

Then the SEMA thrash begins :hammer:

You need to polish your rims. Try the Mother's Powerball....Chip Foose says "Yeah" !!!

Saw the car today, all polished out. Whoa Nellie! Started laying Dynomat and will be able to finish up on Monday before it heads home. Out in the sun that paint looks HOT!

That is going to be a good SEMA indoor under lights color, but the wheels are all wrong.

It's going to be OK- I've got a can of chrome paint. Those wheels are going to look real purty.

Hi Craig,

What is the color combo? Awesome paint choice, I saw these pics last week and haven’t been able to get it out of my head. I was sure I was going blue until I saw your Vette now I’m having second thoughts. Looks great can’t wait to see the finished pics. Any new updates coming soon?

wow Craig cool car.

whats in it as engine and suspension??

I'd ditch the chrome paint idea, why dont you just go with a fire truck paint scheme on the wheels, half white and half red?

Here's the real tire/wheel combo: 18" Boyd "F09's" and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires.

The engine trans combo is a Mitchell 427" SBC with Wilson Manifolds/ FAST fuel injection and a Rockland Standard T56. Engine made 538hp and 517Ft #'s with the injection setup. Engine is all aluminum and weighs in at 355 #'s. Should be able to move this car right along (target weight with driver is 2800).

We have the car back from paint and the Dynomat treatment is just about done. Next is wiring and then off to upholstery at the end of the month.

What is the paint color? That is what I want to paint my Chevelle when the time comes.
