I think after the fines it might have been cheaper to have done the Richard Petty Experience. Atleast there he would have gotten more laps in.

On cnn they said it was a commercial being filmed and some of the news stations just thought it was real. I wonder what really happened for sure.

Gone in 60 seconds was on again in my area today. I refuse to watch that crap. Glorifying the theft of others hard earned stuff especially collector cars hits close to home. Auto theft is a big enough problem today with out it being made to be cool to impressionable and un supervised juvinile delinquents. It would be real cool if I went out to my garage and my ride was gone in 60 seconds .

seems staged if you ask me. Look close when they pull the guy from the car. A camera man is right in the think of it.
Then a camera man with a boom operator filming the tow truck???

That is too funny. Did he seriously think he wouldn't get caught?? Where was he going to go?? Round and round til he was out of gas. Good thing nothing was damaged.

Nothing damaged? I don't know. I think that I have read in the past that some High performance race engines [Nascar] are damaged if they run out of gas, lean out. I guess I am losing my sense of humor in my old age thinking drunken fools are funny. :rolleyes: I spent a bit of time as one myself. I think the cameras were there for the interveiw of the winner.
