I can't enter the Chat room.... [Archive]

When I attempt to enter the chat room, I see the outer frame for the chat room, but in the center all I see a red x in the upper left corner and outline just when a reference to a pic broken.

Edit: I forgot to mention I have never had a problem entering the room before.

Make sure you've got the current version of Java installed from http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_ie.jsp is the biggest thing that comes to mind.

My home computer is having the same problem, but it told me the Miscrosoft Java Virtual Machine was missing, unlike my laptop from work. Thanks for the link.

Unfortunately, I don't think the MS JVM is sufficient for the chat to work (I can't think of any other reason I would have ever installed Sun's Java).

I forgot to add to my previous post MS does not bundle the MSJVM with IE 6.0 and that I would have to install a third party JVM.

They don't bundle it with IE6, and even if you can find a link to one of the downloadable copies of the MSJVM, the setup requires an existing version of the MSJVM on your machine -- so if you don't have it, you can't get it.
