Today at woodward, GM thought it would be funny to drive the new camaro trailer past the Chrysler press event. They took the bait, and here's a clip from what the Chrysler boys had to say.

"Yo! Notice the two Challengers, including the concept-to-be- production-in-08, drove into our event while the two Camaros had to be towed. And Mr. Rhadigan,(Chevy's new PR guy) I'll get you buddy! -Jason Vines"

NICE.

You know what Frank says "As long as their talking". Either way it will be nice to see the Challenger and the Camaro on the road.

It will be a tough decision. Camaro or Challenger!! But got to say I have always wanted a Challenger and I think a 08 will be half as much as a nice 71 or so!! But it will definatly be tough! I haven't checked my lotto numbers in two weeks, maybe I want have to worry about choosing.

Alright it's on!

Settlemeir (sp?) needs to pull up in the Camaro tomorow and burn it down until the whole D/C expo area is filled with sweet Chevy tire smoke.

I wanna see footage on the news of settlemire fishtailing sideways through the glass front of the chrysler building, then filling the INSIDE of the building with smoke...lol

but that's just me.

That's funny.

I can't wait to see the new cars painted up and slammed like vintage Trans-Am cars. I'm thinking Sunoco Camaro... :)

Actually, my youngest has a 69 Camaro hot wheels painted in a similar fashion I might like better. I'll see if I can find it & post it.

I dunno about the wheels. A bit too ghetto for me. But if they make one with that two-tone I'm gonna have a hard time resisting.

I say bring on the musclecar wars!! This is exciting, now we finally have some serious contenders to compete with the Mustang. I thought I was going to have to convert to Ford just to get to drive a new musclecar, but now I am salivating in anticipation of the advent of the new camaro!!

Maybe I am dreaming, but a LS7 SS would be just wicked! I would sell all I have to drive such a dream car!

John McBride did that photoshop chop of Smokeys car. That thing looks awesome!!!

I'm hoping for an unveiling at Indy in 08 with one of these!

When I get one the first thing I'll do is get my decal guy to make decals like on the Penske car.

I think the car will look a lot better when it has some wide 18's and is lowered

very nice job Diognes.

Color looks great, and the cowl scoop and rear spoiler follow the lines reall well. Looks sweet!
If the prototype Camaro had rims tha twere like 20" or something, yours gotta be like Double Duece! :)

Thanks man :) . The rims seem larger, but they aren't much, it is mostly the lowering and the polished lip that make them seem much larger. This is the "show trim" version though. I also have a "GO!!!" version in the works with 18"s and 19"s, but it is hard to find time to play around now that school has started up again :( . I have all sorts of ideas for the 5th gen :D . We just need to know what the production version will look like.
