does anyone know if i can put dual exaust on a 97 camaro? does it fit?

Yep. Although it would not be emissions legal unless your car had 2 cats from the factory.

Why bother? There are some fast 3rd & 4th gens running the 3" systems. The ones I have seen are either front axel dumps or really ugly with lots of bends.

The problem with true dauls is that you have to run bullet mufflers to have any ground clearance.

Bmr make's a new upper panhard bar brace that will let you run the exhaust over the rear end and mount the mufflers all the way in the rear.

I run a single 4inch system on mine (94)that runs in the stock location.

A flowmaster cat back is areally good piece for stock to mild hp camaro.

actually, Flowmaster catbacks have shown to lose power on stock LS1 f-bodies. They just increase sound. Those aren't very popular with the LS1 guys.

To answer the original question, yes you can have a custom dual exhaust added to a 4th gen, but don't expect any performance gains over a well built 3" or 4" single system.

i had magnaflow on my firebird..3" cat-back and it sounded mean as well as increased hp slightly.
