Ditch convertible dampners?

Will subframe connectors stiffen the body sufficiently on a 69 Firebird convertible to remove the dampners? (otherwise known as ****tail shakers). Do I need to take into account the decreased weight when ordering new front springs for a 1 - 1.5" drop? The car's got a 400 and I plan on adding tubular upper control arms as well.

Good question. I have an 8-pt rollbar, welded SFC's, solid body mounts, etc. In speaking with Kyle at DSE he felt I could remove mine. This winter I'll remove the fronts and report back.
