Here's another pic of the engine. I decided to go with stainless tubing instead of braided line for the fuel lines and after buying the flaring tool and tubing benders along with the tubing it has been an expensive start but it is coming along fairly well and seeming worth it as I go along. I bought Ridgid tools wich are expensive but as I am finding more than worth it and really no more money than other quality tools. For what the stainless tubing cost having it kink or go oval would not be an option and so far the stainless bends much better than the steel tubing I am using for mockup pieces.

Don't you just love those tube benders! I bought a complete set too, and had a blast bending stainless lines.

Looks good!

I find tube bending to be great therapy ....... well, except for when I forget to put the nuts on before I flare the ends.:hammer:
I just wish exhaust tubing was as easy to bend.

Wow! I would've done this had I known one could buy a tube bender that worked. I finally gave up and had Right Stuff Detailing copy mild steel mockups in SS. Your work looks everybit as good as theirs!

Thanks for the compliments everyone.

I wanted to go black also but they don't have them out yet. You can get them in natural aluminum and steel which I almost went with but I would have had to special order them and most of the other fittings were already blue.

If you get them in natural aluminum you could use the eastwood anodizing kit to anodize them black couldn't you.

Hey, now that is not a bad idea at all:twothumbs

I might have to check into it, thanks for the thought.

I wanted black fittings too, but I couldn't find them. The Eastwood kit will work, or you can have your local anodizer make 'em black. I ended up with blue fittings ...

For power steering, you'll want to use stainless fittings, so there's no color choice there.

Summit carries them

Payton,

I know Summit carries Aeromotive fittings, and I know they are black. Are you sure that the Aeromotive line includes hardline tube nuts and sleeves?

I do see that Summit's own brand include black nuts and sleeves, but their ship dates are pushed out a while.
