I have done some searches for this and have come up a little short. I have a 72 Cutlass with long tube Hooker Super Comp headers and the collectors currently have 4.5" of ground clearance. I am planning on using Eibach's Pro Kit which will lower the car 1.3". Now, assuming that my current set up is at stock ride height and I get the advertised drop do you guys think 3.2" is acceptable clearance?

3.2" is pretty low. You'll be dragging them on speed bumps and curbs. 4.5" is really as low as you can get for worry-free driving. Below that, every bump can be trouble ...

I built a car with a buddy of mine, we didn't really have much to work with for the exhaust...ended up just running the mufflers right under the seats, lol. We had less than an inch of ground clearance. He'd scrape over road markers routinely. It was ridiculous...but so much fun.

On topic: yeah, anything less than 4" is gonna take some clever packaging.

Ummm, mine is at 2 1/2"! And speed bumps are bad, some driveways too. Other than that, it's fine. Who the heck drives their cars like thier trucks anyways? Just be carefull. And curbs? Well, the only time I jumped a curb, it was at 80mph and pushed the frame over, bent 2 wheels, and chunked my intercooler! LOL!
