Hey guys,

I bought a pair of Bonspeed Huntington's from a member of the forum and I finally got my tires for them and also got them mounted and balanced. I got to put them on this week to see how they would fit. They are 18x10's with 285/30 BFG KD's. The backspacing is 5.5 inch. I was a little worried about the backspacing, because I have noticed that most people are using a 5.75 inch backspace with a 10 inch wheel, but they fit perfectly. I was not able to roll the lips yet, I will be able to get to that this weekend, but as you can see in the pics, the tires sit below the wheel lips anyway. I have Hotchkis drop leafs in the rear and drop coils in the front, with QA1 stocker Star 12-way adjustables on all four corners as well. I may also drop the car an added inch in the near future, but for now it will do. I would also have rathered to have a tire with a little more sidewall, as it would help to fill out the wheel well a little better, but I got these at an unbelievable price and I couldn't pass them up. Anyways, I am waiting to receive the two front wheels from Bonspeed and I already have the tires for them, so hopefully soon. Check out the pics and let me know what you think. Thanks guys!

(Please excuse the rear drum brakes as I have yet to be able to afford the disc package I need) - needed to buy wheels to have enough room for 13" rotors!

Looks pretty sweet, I wish I could come across a set of Bonspeed Deltas in 18x10 and 18x9 for a reasonable price. Oh well, it looks like they fit really good. Just a little lip roll and you will be set.

Good luck and nice 69,
Joe

are the reason the 5.5 spacing works. If you go to disc it will need to be the 5.75 because of the difference in the thickness of the rotor.

Car looks fantastic and you are not too far away. I am in Charlotte

Your wheels look really good, if you went with a 40 series tire and lowered the car another inch you probably would have rubbing issues. Also look into what Payton said as I am sure he is right. Hows your clearance on the inner wheel well?

Rybar, first off, I wanted to mention that your car is one of my inspirations for my project. Your car is great!

You're probably right about the 40 series tire, but I wouldn't want anything taller than a 35 anyway. Like I said before, I do not have the lips rolled yet (doing it tomorrow morning), so I cannot tell quite yet if the 1/4" difference in backspacing would give me trouble. As of right now it does look like I should have enough room to run a 285/35/18, once I roll the lips. If I were to lower the car another inch, I probably would not have sufficient room, but only if discs were installed. I have exactly 1/4" clearance on the inner well on both sides.

1/4" is what I thought, you'd better get a good old hammer out to pound in your inner wells as I gaurantee you will have rubbing. Hopefully they still fit once you go to discs. Good luck with your project!
