Maybe the wrong forum? After a day like today, I've decided incompetence is everywhere, not just with the folks involved in my construction projects.
Today I had my regular shop install a trans cooler and a catback exhaust on my new truck. After 3 hours longer than promised I was also told my 67 camaro that I was putting the wilwood superlite kit on from my 69 camaro would not work on the 67 as it is. I decided I'd pull my trailer home, get the 69 and bring it back to the shop (200 miles from my house) the next day.
First off the kid hooks up the trailer with the 2 inch ball setup, which I changed. He's only hooked up my trailer 15 times before with the 2 5/16. same kid that installed the trans cooler. 75 miles out of Phx I stop to get gas and trans fluid is everywhere, as the fittings on the cooler were just hand tightened. I leave the trailer 100 miles from home (the shop owner is going to get it tomorrow-come to my house and get the camaro and take to his shop-that is a PLUS! I think someone is getting a butt chewing) anyway during the drive home I call the chevy dealer I just bought the new truck from to check on a skid plate that was ordered and asked him if it comes with the bolts. he says no, and I ask him if he looked in the box, and he says yes. I ask him what and how many I need to get, and have my son-in-law pick up the skid plate and bolts for me.
When I return home I open the pkg and see factory bolts inside. Of course it does'nt matter cuz the skid plates don't line up with any holes in the frame per the directions. Trans fluid is everywhere under the truck and has the black paint coming off the frame. A box of fender flares I ordered last week, and then cancelled the next day because they told me it was a 4-5 week wait to get them is sitting at home, which would be great to under promise and over deliver if I had'nt already bought and installed some last weekend. It's now 1 am and I've had enough for one day.
