View Full Version : Return style fuel system
Putting a 2002 LS1 in to a '69 Camaro. I need return style fuel rails. What are you guys using? I found the '97 Corvette return style stock fuel rails for $193 at rockauto and billet rails at Speed Inc. for $139.99. This is a stock engine for now but will be doing modifications soon. I'll be runnig a sumped tank, weldon 600a pump, with a aeromotive reg.

I used a set of FAST fule rails on my motor. I was told they would work up to 1000 HP. I like the looks of them to, but do not know if they will fit under the stock covers. Did not use any covers on my motor.

The actual rails wouldn't be the issue at 1000HP, it's the injectors.
Just curious but why? With your setup can you not run the later C5 fuel filter/return line filter? It would make life easier and cleaner.
Try some corvette only salvage yards for the early fuel rails. Corvetteforum.com has a classified section and I believe a want section too.
All of the factory regulators are not adjustable. Being that I'm not using a factory or replacement(walbro) pump, I wouldn't be able to get the rail fuel pressure to 58.8 lbs. with the High performance Weldon 600A.
I just ordered a set of pollished billet fuel rails.

Has the weldon been shown to overpower the factory regulator/filter unit?
