Does turbo cars generaly have 3.40. 3.52 gears in the rear to build pressure for turbos or 3.90 would work too?

I agree.

In general turbo cars don't spin as fast and make a lot more torque. I even know of guys dropping down to 3.08's. Turbo motors love load.

I got 3.00 in mine and it loves it! I had put a 2.70 center section in it when I puked the axles and had to upgrade, and that is what a friend had laying around in a bucket of crud. It didn't seem as good with the 2.70's because it loaded really hard then spun very violently with that wheelspeed. I also had a set of 3.50's in it for awhile, but did not like them on the highway, it raised the EGT's too much. I love the 3.00's

From what I have heard, people have reported much better boost in 1st and 2nd gears when switching from say 3.73's to 3.08's or even 2.73's. Turbos love load.
