can i fit 17x8 (front) and 18x9.5 (back) 0n my 68 firebird w/2inch drop spindels and disk brakes?

Maybe on the front. It depends on your BS. You may hit your outer tie rod. https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16609 It is also BS dependent on the back.

I have 17x8.5 on the front and back of my 67 bird 9.5 would work with the correct bs

My '67 original rear was 61" from drum face-to-drum face. This is an inch wider than the Camaro. My front track was 3/4" wider. Be careful to double check any suggested backspacings with measurements.

my 67 bird has 17x8 in front. I had to add steering stops that were about 1/2" thick to the lower control arms to eliminate tire scrub. That is with 255/45r17 tires. I am running a 9" diff so the backspacing will be different, I highly recommend measuring about 1000 times prior to buying any wheels.
