Hey everybody,

Here's a couple of pics (a couple months old) of the Trans Am (in Italy) and some of the upgrades it has received.
In the pics you can see some of the new parts:

Hotchkis TVS
March brackets & pulleys
AGR steering box 12:1:1
American grafitti ac delete
Edelbrock Victor JR water pump
Proform alum valve covers
etc.

More has been done (wheels/tires, tranny, etc.), but I don't have the pics yet.

Car looks great. Hey, what part of Italy were you in? How well did the Bandit fit on the roads over there?

Ha ha. I am still in Naples, Italy actually (about an hour south of Rome), and getting into my driveway and parked in my garage is
a b@*ch. These backstreets are made for donkey carts, not American Muscle.
But -- it fits great out on the open highways, which are actually pretty nice. You always hear about the Autobahn, but here we have the Autostrada. Same difference pretty much. They do have speed limits supposedly, but the policy seems to be "occasional selective enforcement" and if you drive under 90 in the hammer lane you WILL get your butt run over, I am not kidding. So getting the chance to open it up, and an occasional battle with a SLK, M5 or Ferrari is not unusual!
People thought I needed mental help for bringing my "baby" all the way over here, but I am having a blast with it, and the Italians love the car!! (Even though they always confuse it with a Vette or Mustang, don't ask me why.)

Very cool! I've been to Italy twice; both times I've gone to Positano which is about an hour south of Naples right along the coast. Our limo driver the 1st time was tooling down the Autostrada! The 2nd time I was there, we had my parents and son with us and the driver was much more sedate.

My in-laws still have their house down in Reggio Calabria and we're probably going there in a few years when our kids get bigger. I think I'll finally drive there on that trip, but we'll probably rent a little Fiat or something! :)
