Hey all, Been lurking around here for a while now just reading and gathering my thoughts and ideas and thought it was about time i started saying something so i thought id better post up.

Any way i live in Tasmania just south of Australia and the por touring thing down here is pretty few and far between

Ive got a 74 vj valiANt 2 dr hard top ( based on a u.s a body floor pan with an aussie built shell)

When i got the car it was set up for drags with an r3 block 360,11.2 :1 comp, x heads, m1, holley, and a 2 stage 400hp nitrous kit, top loader and 9"

Drags get a bit boaring so its getting a full ground up rebuild pt style which i started about 3 1/2 yrs ago but just never knew it was called pro tourng untill about 3 months ago!!

I bought some 17 x 8 and 17 x 11's for it but got bored with them before the car was even finished and sold em off, now ive just got my new rears, there 19 x 12 roh modena's and when ive got the money ill get some 19 x 8's for the front

Other bits i have are 6 piston wilwood's, 4 piston wilwood's, 13" rotors for the rear

Plans, 3 link or 4 link rear, (undecided which) twin a arm front, coil overs all round, 14" rotors front and t56 conversion plus heaps more

Any way ill stop dribbling on now

cheers sean

Ill try and put some pics on before i pulled it down and one with the 17's f they work

That is a hell of an engine. R3 blocks are hard to come by anywhere and you've got one in Tasmania. I wouldn't mind finding some W2's or W5's either. Does the land down under have something like a Mopar Nationals? Sweet ride Sean.

Thanks for the comments and welcome guys, ill try and get some photo's of it on the weekend with one of the new rims under it and how it sits at the moment

Currently its been stripped back to bare metal and in primer while i get all the chassis mods done and ive just built a chassis table to put it on so i can work on it

Im having trouble trying to find all the parts i need down here to set up the front end so be prepared for lots of questions and favours from you guys!!!!!

Yeah mate R3's are pretty few and far between, when the motor was built the block, crank, rods and heads for all bought from mopar performance and shipped from the u.s so it was pretty costly

We dont really have a Mopar Nationals as such but our biggest chrysler show is "Chryslers on the Murray" in Albury, New South Wales

Pretty big event for us, it attracts cars from all over aus
