I just finished installing new poly bushings. I bolted on my new 20 inch rims and bolted the 326 in to see how high the car sits stock. It seems abnormally high, the fender is 3-4 inches from the top of the tire. I know the 326 isn't nearly as heavy as a big block but the front end didn't settle at all. Could there be something wrong? I was trying to gauge how much drop I would like. Any help would be appreciated.

The 326 block shares the same external dimensions as any 350, 400, 428, or 455 Pontiac, So the weight is close to the same. You may want to try loosening the control arm bolts (just loosen a little bit) to see if the bushings may be binding a little, especially if you tightened them before the engine was in. It also make take a little time for the springs to settle in (if they are new).

Thanks Randy. I'll try to loosen and hopefully when she's running the front will settle.
