Hi all im new here. the site was highly reffered to me by the guys over at Team chevelle of which im a current member.

i am the current owner of a 71 chevelle supposedly all original but its not a big deal to me im going for a hig performance fire breathing sports car theme so originality is not to important to me ( although a stock original car done right is an amazing thing of beauty.) its got a 307 and so far just a power disc brake kit.

aside from introductions im also wondering about my suspension setup. i plan to get possibly global west but might go with hotrods to hells front lower a arms along with varishock coilovers and sc and c uppers but in the rear im just about completly clueless. i know i really want to have a car that handles like a modern sports car i really want this thing to carve canyons. and ive heard that HTH has a truckarm kit that works well. do any of you have it? also i have heard that a three link is better where do i get this what do i have to do to install it price etc......

any and allllll help is gretly appreciated. also i live in the danvers mass. area

thanks all

Ryan Billings ( sorry about the long post.)

Welcome to the site, Ryan.

I don't think there are any a-bodies yet that have a three-link rear; the kit that Lateral Dynamics is selling right now is for F-bodies with an A-body version coming Real Soon Now (if memory serves).

If you do a search in the Suspension forum, there's been a few discussions on the pros and cons of the truck arm suspension. You may want to do some reading there.

So far as the front goes - is there a reason for the tubular lowers, or just the "cool" factor? Do the coilovers require them? If not, you may be better served by putting that cash towards safety or other performance parts.

You may want to correct the image link in your signature too - you've got the http: header twice, and it looks like when you copied it from whereever you got the shortened version, whatever word "sh...0" was has been replaced with the dots. I'd love to see pics of your car.

yes unless i go qa1 and i believe sacrifice some performance i need lower tubes to acomodate coilovers which i like for there adjustability.

also i have just finished reading alot of info and i think i have decided on the truckarm kit it looks to be one of the best out there.

and im going to do my best to fix the link now so you can see the Ol' girl shes a bit rough for now but im putting my heart and soul into this car since it was my dream to own one since i was twelve.

thanks i really wish i could meet each and every one of you and shake your hands everyone on these forums is so helpful and i really dont know what id do without your help truly thank you.

Link works great now. Pic is dark but that's OK; if you get more pics I'm sure plenty of folks would like to see them.

Again, welcome to the site.
