Yea, it was Ventura based which was Nova based.

If it's nova based, you're set. 68-74 nova subframes interchange with 67-69 camaro

Yea, it was Ventura based which was Nova based.There was a nice one in Hemmings Muscle Machines a few months ago. I didn't even know they existed until then. Good luck with your project. You can get plenty of cool parts ffor the running gear.

Any one have a picture? I'd like to see what a 74 GTO looks like. If it's based on the ventura then you're in great shape as all the first gen stuff is a match. Have fun with it!

I happen to have the hood and shaker for a 74 GTO - unfortunately the rest of the car was flipped while being towed on a trailer.

They are a fun car and not real common!

Carefull, while this is true with Chevy, it was a split year in the Pontiac brand. Late 74 had the tall spindle design frame. Look at your upper control arms to be sure. Also front or rear steer.

Small minor differences (small brackets, holes, etc...) from year-to-year. If I remember right, the only difference with the 73 & 74 Nova subframes is the bumper mounts. But everything can fit easily made with a little work....

I'm trying to figure out how to put the original pontiac 350 back in my gto. I think the sub frames out of a camaro and nothing lines up. Any ideas? Do they make adapters?
