Has anyone had problems with their MoTown block's head bolts going into the water jacket?

I traced down a pesky water issue to water leaking up my head stud. I'd heard to be weary of ARP head studs because of this, but figured the MoTown's blind-tapped design should cover it and keep the threads dry.

Water is leaking out the top of the nut (slightly) between the valves on the #7 cylinder, then entering the cylinder from the top of the valves.
:hand:

Sound familiar to any of you guys?

Whaaaa? Machining issue on a MoTown block? Nah, doesn't sound familiar at all.

If a blind-tapped head bolt hole that isn't really blind tapped is the only issue you have with your MoTown block be very happy. You could be one of the guys with out of round cam bearing bores, lifter bores too big & out of position too, etc...

I'd pull the offending stud and seal it up with some Permatex Hi-Temp Thread Sealer #59235. Should take care of your problems. It's really good stuff.
