Just curious if there was anyone around northern Indianapolis area that might have an 86 or newer Chevy v8 block laying around I could use for a weekend.
Thanks,
Scot

Why a +86? Are you looking for a small block? The dimenions are the same. Only the main seal is different.

Scot, too bad you're so far. I have my 305 block wrapped in plastic sitting on the side of the garage, you could have that.
Guess I gotta find another pair of muscles to help me toss it in the Jeep and bring it for scrap metal.

Try a local machine shop. I've found junk blocks for free before.

It might work IF the dipstick is on the passenger side of 85 & older blocks.
I want to see if I can make some small modifications to the road course pan to be able to use the factory dipstick.

I am going to try a speed shop near where I work tomorrow.
