View Full Version : 70-73z RS nose piece
On my 70 RS I would like to fill the seam between the nose and the body. I believe the nose piece is Urethane, but of course the body is sheetmetal. So how would a pro fill it in? I don't want it cracking in a few years.
Also the factory nose piece is damn heavy. Are there any aftermarket pieces out there?

If you want to make it look like one solid piece,you're gonna have to make it out of sheet metal.IF you try and fill the gap between the nose and header there will be a crack somewhere down the road.Both pieces are made of different materials,therefore they will expand and contract at different rates in the heat and cold.
That's what I was worried about. I've seen lots of fiberglass scoops on steel hoods. How do they keep them from cracking?
I guess I could make the nose out of sheet metal.
Seems to be a lot of fiberglass scoops on steel hoods though. hmmm.
